Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
LOPA is a semi-quantitative risk analysis in which the frequency of a negative event is calculated according to the risk reduction by the Independent Protection Layers (IPLs). In bowtie-based LOPA, you calculate the frequency of a consequence, given the threats and IPLs in play.
The LOPA functionality allows you to fill in the initial frequencies of the threats and the Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD) for the barriers. You can also add target frequencies for the consequences and the top event. The software automatically calculates the relevant numbers, like the consequence frequency, and displays them on the bowtie diagram if desired.
What is IncidentXP?
IncidentXP is a incident analysis software product which allows you to use the most popular and globally used incident analysis methods. IncidentXP uses the same software framework as BowTieXP, which makes it possible to link incident analysis results back to the proactive risk assessment diagram. However, IncidentXP can also be used as full-fledged stand-alone incident analysis tool.

What is AuditXP?
AuditXP is our audit and compliance software, employing the same software framework as BowTieXP. The tool is developed to close the “Plan-Do-Check” circle (Deming circle). After defining the barriers in your safety management system (the plan stage) and implementing them (the do stage), AuditXP is used to check and monitor the quality and effectiveness of the barriers.
